Although you are a busy mom but you still strive to provide a variety of healthy options to your family you would definitely love this recipe that is not only easy and nutritious but also versatile. Get the filling ready and you can use it in various ways and make different dishes using the filling! Last night I served my family Paneer parathas and tomorrow morning they will eat Paneer sandwiches. Yes my boys love Paneer and can eat it how many ever times I serve them but in different forms. Lucky me right??
Ingredients for Filling:
Grated Paneer: 1 cup
Finely chopped onion: 1/4 cup
Chopped coriander leaves: 1 table spoon
Salt as required
Jeera powder: 1 tea spoon
Red Chilli powder as required
Kasoorimethi leaves 1/2 tsp
Take a mixing bowl and mix all the above ingredients gently using your finger tips and the yummy filling is ready.
For Paratha Dough:
Whole wheat atta/flour: 2 cups
Water as required
Salt: 2 pinches
Yogurt: 1 spoon
Atta/Flour for dusting.
Method Of Preparation:
Mix atta/flour, salt and yogurt.
Add little water and make chapati dough. Let it rest covered for 15 minutes.
When you are ready to roll out parathas take a small ball sized dough and follow the procedure to make bowl in the video. Fill in the Paneer filling in the atta bowl and completely cover and roll out parathas dusting in the flour in between as required.
Heat a tawa or flat dosa pan.
Put the rolled out Paratha on top of that.
When it puffs up, turn over and cook till brown specks are formed on both the sides and smear ghee.
Serve with yogurt and pickle.
