Hung curd or yogurt sandwiches are very easy to make. You can make them for breakfast or kids lunch boxes as well. They are very healthy and you can do the preparation work previous night to make things easier for the next day.
Hung curd or yogurt gives that creamy texture to the sandwich and works the best as replacement to our Mayo or cream cheese cravings.
Hung Yogurt Sandwich Ingredients:
Brown bread: 4 slices
Hung curd/yogurt: 1/4 cup
Onion (chopped): 1 tbsp
Grated carrots: 1 tbsp
Chopped multi color peppers: 1 tbsp each
Fresh coriander leaves (chopped).
Spices :
Peri peri: 1 tsp
Salt as required
Sugar: 1/2 tsp
Ghee or butter to grease.
Method Of Preparation:
Take all the chopped vegetables in a mixing bowl, add the hung curd, spices and mix well.
Grease the bread with butter or ghee on one side.
Apply the hung curd mixture on bread.
Grill on a sandwich maker or a regular Tawa/Pan.
Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.

Tips to follow:
Make sure the curd/yogurt is not sour if you are packing them for boxes.
Hung curd/yogurt is usually made by hanging regular curd/yogurt in a muslin cloth for about 3 to 4 hrs by squeezing out the excess water until we get a creamy cheesy like texture.
Collect the water while making the hung curd and this can be used to make buttermilk or add it to the chapathi dough.
